So yesterday was a really good day, for a variety of reasons. One of them being that it was generally just a good day, complete separate from the holiday. I always find that a little strange on holidays, because usually you think that the causes of a day being good revolve around the reasons it's a holiday or something, but it's kind of refreshing when it isn't. It reminds you that a normal mundane Monday can be a good day. (Yes, Mondays can be really good days.) It was one of those days where things happen at school and they just make you laugh and smile to yourself as you walk down the hall. It was great. Another reason it was a good day actually had to do with the holiday. At about 2 PM i was sitting in my BORING music class, and I felt my phone vibrate, and I looked, and to my surprise, it was my best friend Sarah Orme. I immediately knew what it was about, and I smiled as I walked out of the classroom, I answered the phone to Sarah saying, "I can't believe you did that, did you really get me flowers?"
I decided this year to get my best friend roses for Valentine's Day, why? because she's the best best friend a guy could have, and it was my way of showing her I care about her. It was a good feeling, knowing that she liked them. I think THAT'S why i like valentine's day, because you get to make someone else feel like a million bucks, and than as I was sitting there I thought to myself, I want to make people I care about feel like a million bucks everyday. So that's my goal for the week, see how many people I can help feel like a million dollars. Because if you can make someone feel like it's a good holiday on a normal day, than that's even better than having a good normal day on a holiday. (Light-bulb moment)
On a side note, last night was really fun too, we (my friends, Jeff, James, Clayton, Blake, Jordan and our friends from Houston, Hannah, Emily, and Leica) went to chili's and played a random game called quelf and had a few laughs. I love my friends, and the girls from Houston. It was real fun.
So those are the reasons that El día de San Valentino was just a really good Monday. Because not every Valentine's day needs to be overly and utterly romantic, because sometimes, it really does feel like that young boy in the child looks.
My perspective on day-to-day life and things I view as important. This is a work in progress and my first attempt at blogging, so wish me luck

This site is currently under construction...
So, it's a Sunday, I have 15 minutes before church, and what do I decide to do? Start a blog. Was it a impulse decision? Do I know what my plan is? Nope, not at all. I just decided I'd like to express myself a little more, and so, this is a obvious work in progress and I don't know in what will happen, but hey, it'll be an adventure. I hope my friends and family (and whoever else feels so inclined) will read this and be able to deal with this in it's current ambiguous state. Happy Super Bowl Sabbath. This song is the inspiration for the title of my blog
